Calgary police name first murder victim of 2012

Police have identified the victim of Calgary's first murder of the year as 35-year-old Joseph Lesley Talbot.

Autopsy confirms Joseph Talbot died of gunshot wounds

Police have identified the victim of Calgary's first murder of the year as 35-year-old Joseph Lesley Talbot.

An autopsy confirmed he died of a gunshot wound.

Officers discovered his body while responding to reports of a possible break in to a home in the 100 block of Erin Circle S.E. on Saturday morning.

Police said the incident is not random, everyone in the house was known to each other.

Three people were taken in for questioning, but have since been released.

No charges have yet been laid.
