Police seek 2 home invasion suspects

A man was assaulted Wednesday morning when two men forced their way into his northwest Calgary home.

Culprits might have posed as undercover police officers

A man was assaulted Wednesday morning when two men forced their way into his northwest Calgary home.

The two culprits — possibly posing as undercover police officers — restrained the resident and demanded money and gold after they broke in to his house on Bermondsy Road N.W. just before noon.

A woman and child also in the home were not harmed. The thieves took several personal items and left, police said.

The suspects are both Caucasian, about six feet two inches tall, and wore holsters with handguns.

One had a slim build, with a scar or cut on his left cheek.  The other man had a stocky build, with blond hair and a light beard.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
