Pedestrian injured in CTrain collision

A man was struck by a CTrain around 3:20 p.m. Monday at 7th Avenue and 7th Street S.W. and was in life-threatening condition, according to EMS.

An man was struck by a CTrain around 3:20 p.m. Monday at 7th Avenue and 7th Street S.W. and was in life-threatening condition, according to EMS.

Calgary police also described it as a "serious injury."

The man was taken to Foothills Medical Centre. 

Transit service downtown was significantly impacted as a result of the collision, with Calgary Transit shutting down trains through the area.
